Omankee Finley
Omankee is a 2008 graduate of Olympic High School in Charlotte where she was a student in the specialty program for Business and Communications. She participated in many extra curricular activities at Olympic, including Cheerleading, Track & Field as well as the Step and Dance teams. In 1998, Omankees’ father sustained a serious back injury while employed with Rielinger Corp of Raleigh. Due to his injury, Mr. Finley has been unable to return to gainful employment. Omankee enrolled at South Carolina State University in the Fall of 2008 to pursue a degree in Business Management & Marketing. She hopes to be the first member of her family to have a college degree. The Principal at Olympic describes Omankee as a strong willed and determined young lady who has a great and exciting personality. The scholarship committee was impressed with the application statement of Omankee as it reflected a confidence and determination to achieve and excel. Back to Scholarships |
