Kiarra Baker
Kiarra resides in Hamlet, NC and graduated from Richmond County High School in 2007. Her father was employed with Pilot News and while on the job in 2005 sustained wasp stings, went into cardiac arrest and died from anaphylaxis. Her mother is employed with Richmond County schools as a teacher assistant. Kiarra entered Winston-Salem State University in the fall of 2007 where she will pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy. A former teacher describes Kiarra as a hard working, dedicated and motived student who has an intense drive to succeed. Kiarra says her goal to work in the health care field so that she can provide care and support to others. She has already demonstrated a compassion for others as during her High School years, she was a volunteer at a nursing home, a candy striper and also a volunteer with Hospice. Back to Scholarships |
